The Design Process
A BIT ABOUT HOW WE WORK
Congratulations you have done the hard part in choosing your design, and now you are only a few steps away from receiving your finished copies and sending out your stationery suite. Turnaround times are between 2-4 weeks, but we can also accommodate super urgent jobs too.

All the designs are carried across the different elements of stationery that you might require to accompany your wedding invitations, for example RSVP and information cards. ‘On the day’ stationery items are also available when you start to think about the finer details of your celebrations, Menu, table cards, order of service etc.

There is always room for bespoke touches to our stationery and we are always happy to accommodate a couples specific colour theme. Please refer to the spectrum of options available on our colour and card page.

Ok so years of experience has led us to develop the most successful, fool proof and fun way of working. So here’s the process…

one.

Once you have chosen your design, and you have received the quotation for your requirements, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required in order to commence with the creative. We cannot book production time or start the design until we have both your order confirmation and deposit. The remaining balance will be required to pay on approval of your final proof, before we go to press.

two.

So now we are ready to go. We typeset from the wording you supply so that your invitation carefully reflects your personality and tone of your celebration. Please supply the wording to us in an electronic format via email to emilyandjo@emilyandjo.co.uk. You can find inspiration for your wording here. Our font library showcases our fabulous fonts from which you can choose your typeface. Within 48 hours you will receive the first PDF proof of your stationery via e-mail which you need to check thoroughly. Here is a handy proof checklist for your reference, it is a really good idea to get a second person to read through the proofs too.

It is really important to check the proofs meticulously, as you bear responsibility for the content. It is no problem at all to take in any amends as necessary.

three.

All invitations are then passed on press by a member of the team to insure that the printed result is the best it can possibly be.

four.

Finished copies together with invitations will be delivered within 2 to 4 weeks of your final proof approval. Turnaround time for more urgent jobs will be quoted on an individual basis. Please note that a supplementary rush fee is chargeable for super urgent jobs.

five.

Delivery is £15 per overnight dispatch to UK address. Delivery to overseas addresses will be quoted individually by weight.

Please note that once you have signed off the proof in its entirety, you bear final responsibility for the design and typographical elements of your invitations. Emily&Jo will not bear the costs of reprinting and shipping orders due to any errors that have been approved, nor will a refund be issued.
